Orthodontics is a special discipline of dentistry concerned with aligning the teeth and jaws to improve one's smile and oral health. Dental braces, also known as orthodontic braces or brackets, are a fixed appliance used orthodontics to correct alignment of teeth and their position with regard to bite. They can be used on either upper or lower sets of teeth, or both, depending on the problem they are being used to treat. Most orthodontic patients are children or teenagers, however, more adults are seeking out orthodontic treatment, without any inhibitions.

Root canal treatment is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth is infected through decay or injury. It is a dental procedure that replaces a tooth’s damaged or infected pulp with a filling. The pulp consists of specialised dental cells, blood vessels, tissue fibres and some nerve fibres located in the hollow space in the central part of the tooth. Root canal therapy is designed to correct disorders of the dental pulp ( the soft tissue inside the tooth that contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue.)

It is mandatory for a root canal treated tooth to have a ceramic or porcelain dental cap/crown as the tooth though now healthy is brittle (because the nerve and blood supply has been removed). If not capped or crowned, the tooth may fracture on eating something hard like toast, nuts or bones, which may ultimately lead to removal or extraction of the tooth. Ceramic inlays allow the dentist to match the colour of the replacement perfectly to that of your own teeth. The cementation of the inlays is carried out by using a special glue that guarantees perfect fit.

Complete dentures or full dentures are worn by patients who are missing all their teeth in an arch (i.e the maxillary(upper) or mandibular(lower) arch). If one have lost all of the natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can replace the missing teeth and the smile. Replacing missing teeth will benefit the persons appearance and health. Without support from the denture, facial muscles sag, making a person look older. One will be able to eat and speak—things that people often take for granted until their natural teeth are lost.

Tooth bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, is a common procedure in general dentistry but most especially in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Many people consider white teeth to be an attractive feature of a smile. A child's deciduous teeth are generally whiter than the adult teeth that follow. As a person ages the adult teeth often become darker due to changes in the mineral structure of the tooth, as the enamel becomes less porous. Teeth can also become stained by bacterial pigments, foodstuffs and tobacco.

Replacement of the defective amalgam filling with composite resin helped to restore proper color to the tooth. In the front of the mouth, it is generally advisable to use tooth-colored filling materials when possible. crowns. An alternative treatment is cosmetic contouring. At the clinic, special care is taken to avoid any cutting of the healthy tooth structure. Only the infected portion of the tooth is cleaned out. Then using the State of The Art Filling Materials, the tooth is restored to its original shape. The end result is such that it is actually difficult to make out where the filling actually starts.
